More than ever, Monterrey is making cinema. The professional careers focused in the production of audiovisual projects are developing and having a great moment. The result of these efforts deserves to be exhibited.
The main objective of the Student Short Film Showcase (MECE for its acronym in Spanish) is to display short films made by students from different universities in the state. MECE serves them as a professional platform, as well as a channel to establish a dialogue among them and show their works as an example of the growing film industry in Nuevo León.
UNICA, UDEM, ITESM, Centro Cinematográfico Ilumina, Universidad Metropolitana and the UANL through the Audiovisual and Communications Faculty, are the institutions that participate in this enthralling showcase.
